About Us

Our Mission:

The Alano Club of Santa Ana dba the Santa Ana Alano Club (SAAC) exists to provide a place for people who are "addicted to the use of intoxicants" to meet in fellowship to share their experience, strength and hope to help others see the benefits of sobriety. We provide hallfacilities for fellowship meetings, organized social events, and impromptu get-togethers in a safe-haven free from alcohol and other drugs. We are also available for use by drug rehabilitation centers and sober living facilities for fellowship meetings and special events. We accept donations for the use of our facilities. Our large meeting room is 1000 sq. ft.

It is important for us to emphasize that there is a difference between being a member of the club and a member of a 12-step fellowship.  Membership in a fellowship is not membership in the SAAC and vice versa.  We have no real affiliation with any of the 12 Step fellowships; they are autonomous.  However, all 12 Step Fellowships are invited to meet in our facilities, as priorities, space and scheduling allow.

The Board of Directors:

The Board of Directors is the governing body of the Santa Ana Alano Club.  It consists of seven (7) members who work as volunteers to ensure that the Alano Club remains open to provide services and grows.   Each person on the board gives of his or her time and resources to ensure that the Club runs smoothly.  All of the Board members are managers of the Club.  Each Board Member is elected of the membership of the Club according to our bylaws.  The Board then elects officers.  Elections to the Board of Directors are held at the Club's Annual Meeting. The SAAC is a nonprofit 501(c)(4) and contributions to the club are not tax deductible.
